I'm a Computer Science graduate from UBC who didn't take the traditional route into tech. After studying systems, algorithms, and software engineering, I chose to get my hands physically dirty, working as an Apple-certified Service Technician, performing logic board repairs, diagnosing devices at a component level, and supporting both consumers and enterprise clients at a high-volume repair center. That experience taught me something no classroom can: how systems actually fail in the real world, and what it takes to keep them running.
I believe the best IT professionals aren't just coders or just infrastructure engineers, they're people who understand the full stack, from bare-metal hardware all the way up to cloud identity policies. My path has moved deliberately in that direction: hands-on repair work grounded me in physical systems, my UBC capstone and internship at RentalHunt sharpened my backend and DevOps skills, and now I'm channeling all of it toward cloud security on Azure. I don't treat certifications as checkboxes, I pursue them because they force me to understand the "why" behind the technology.
My goal is to work in a Cloud Security or Azure engineering role where I can design infrastructure that is secure by default, not by patch. I'm actively pursuing AZ-104 and CompTIA Security+ to complement my existing AZ-900, CompTIA A+, and Google Cybersecurity certifications. Outside of certs, I'm building real projects, AI-powered apps, security tooling, and platforms that challenge me technically and creatively. If you're looking for someone who brings both technical depth and a genuine passion for security culture, let's talk.
